Try actually reading the posts and comments before stating false information about my post. I never said one could not make money online- I stated too many people are wrapped up in the promises and hopes many blogs, -such as this one, give people. They follow the “original ideas” and truly believe they too, will become rich and quit their day jobs and blog full-time. I also wasn’t speaking of one particular form of blog monetization-again you failed to read the post and the comments. Oddly enough, your post reminds me of one DoshDosh.com wrote months ago-another example of “marketing/make money online blogs” repeating what others have said.
Amen! I totally agree. I run in to many people who say and complain about the same. But, when I ask them what they’ve done to try and become successful to earn a living online, they too often give a bunch of hmmms… and umms. I was just having a conversation this morning with someone who said they were convinced that a legitimate income cannot be earned online (she who knows everything of course).
I too have been working from home and online for about 10 years and try and help others to do the same. What I’ve found common in many is that they give up before they really get started and have the “I can’t” attitude. Attitude, I think, is key to success.
Beth .. I did read your post and the comments. I don’t believe I said anything offensive about your post, but that was exactly what I read from it. “Get a job. No, really. This is the best way to make money. Just ask me, someone who knows. Too many blogs in the blogosphere try telling you how to make money online, how rich you’ll become, how easy it is and you’ll never have to work again. Guess who’s making the money? That’s right- it isn’t you, it’s the people loading your brain full of crap.”
I think most people are wanting those get rich quick scams to work because they are lazy and don’t want to work for something or they really need the money fast. I can’t find work that is why I started blogging. I make more now then I ever did in my last job or will in any job I can get right now as I’m a student and have limited options.
I think many of the make money online sites are usually of the “get rich quick” schemes. There are a few legit sites that do provide actually useful advice for getting started.
In the end it is about our approach to wanting to make money, putting in the time and effort, and never giving up.
I found you via Entrecard and I’m definitely going to add you to my list of subscriptions. I just signed up with SponsoredReviews thanks to your suggestion.
People nowadays are busy thinking about making the money, and not about making the site. Earlier money came with the site, but today the flow of “make money online” sites have hidden this fact.
Many people have good ideas, but set the monetizing and traffic above the content and therefore I feel that meny projects fail..
Your posts are clear, straight forward and tell it like it is but do not crush the spirit of new bloggers like me. Thanks and I will be back for more. I have a long way to go and need to read and listen to others experience.

It is possible to make money blogging or else some many people wouldn’t try it, kinda reminds me of the goldrush days. Anyways the people who have fun blogging and love to do it will fare a lot better than those just chasing money.
