The most recent black hat technique I’ve been employing is marketing through torrent sites. The method is extremely viral. Once you upload torrents, there’s no stopping them. For that reason you need to be careful about the offers you put inside the torrents. You could get banned by your ad network if they suspect that you are using torrent sites to market.

So what’s the method? You will be uploading videos or programs …. files that people really want and putting a read me file in with them to drive traffic to your site. Initially, I was told to password protect these video files to make the recipient complete an offer before receiving the password. That idea is a really bad idea. #1: It really pisses people off to receive these password protected files; #2: It gets you banned from the torrent sites almost instantly. You will need to continually create new accounts if you use password protected files and your torrents will be deleted by admin, so the time and effort you put into uploading torrent files, will pretty much be wasted.

In order to get them to visit your website with just a read me file and a video, offer them more of the same type of videos free at www.yourwebsite.com or something else of value that you think they would like to have.

Where do you upload the torrent files? The most popular sites are thepiratebay.org and mininova.org. These two sites are a must. If you want to upload to additional sites, you can go to Torrentscan.com to upload to more sites.

What kind of files to upload? Movies and adult are very popular as well as anime. Just bear in mind that if you choose adult, your offer should be adult, like adult videos or adult dating, etc. … choose anime … offer anime.
